Drilling without operator control -

SureBind©, a two-piece plastic comb binding system, is used for important documents like e.g. balance sheets or agreements where safety of the binding is very important.

Dürselen made a special paper drill for this application which also includes a new safety feature. The motorized sliding table of standard model PB.16 is access-protected during the drilling operation by a light curtain system. The 10-hole program is started by the foot switch and runs through without keeping the foot on the switch.

It takes approximately 20 seconds to drill the 10 hole pattern into a 35 mm high pile. During this time the operator can bind the previously drilled pile.
